William Floyd's Zariel Macchia won the girls 5K at the Section XI Division Championships in 18:19.00, the fastest time on record for the race, and Smithtown West's Douglas Antaky won the boys 5K in 16:08.70. Commack won the boys team title with 121 points, its first title on record.

Macchia improved on the 18:21.80 Harborfields' Kelsey Margey ran in 2010 and finished 11.7 seconds ahead of Bayport-Blue Point's Sophia McInnes (18:30.70) in a field of 290. Mt. Sinai's Cali Gabrielson was third in a personal-best 18:52.60. Macchia's time was the fastest on the course this season, and she had won two meets earlier in the season. Gabrielson's time was 20.37 seconds better than her previous best of the season. Macchia's time was also faster than the winning times from 2017, when Shoreham-Wading River's Katherine Lee won in 18:24.45, and 2018, when Mount Sinai's Sarah Connelly won in 18:49.42.

Antaky won by 17.8 seconds over Mt. Sinai's Jess Joe Augustine, whose personal-best 16:26.50 was 38.11 seconds faster than his previous best this season, with Lindenhurst's Jake Albert third in 16:33.40. The field had 326 finishers, and Antaky's time was the fastest on the course this season, though it did not beat the 15:56.30 Northport's Mike Branigan ran in this race in 2012.

Commack beat Northport (173) and Smithtown (179) for the boys team title.
