KINGS PARK, N.Y. — May 27, 2026 — Eastport-South Manor junior Maddie Laezza won the girls 3000 meters at the Suffolk C County Championships in 9:55.79, 21.19 seconds ahead of Harborfields junior Sayla Fives, and ran the fastest time in the 1500, a personal-best 4:34.79 that was the third-fastest on Long Island this season. Amityville Memorial senior Eghosa Ojo won the boys 100 final in a personal-best 11.14, 0.01 seconds ahead of Hauppauge senior Griffin Stewart (11.15).
Stewart ran the fastest time in the 200, a personal-best 22.55, with Ojo second in that heat. Hauppauge senior Jake Parrett won the 110-meter hurdles final in a personal-best 15.74, 0.46 seconds ahead of Amityville Memorial sophomore Trevor Angus, and ran the fastest 400 hurdles, 1:00.15. Islip senior Ryan Donohue ran the fastest 800 in 1:57.62, East Hampton senior Liam Knight the fastest 400 in 51.25 and Sayville senior Dylan Walsh the fastest 1600 in 4:29.46.
Eastport-South Manor junior Timothy Dodd won the 3200 in a personal-best 9:49.09, 5.06 seconds ahead of West Islip senior Chase Miller. Miller won the 3000-meter steeplechase in 10:20.20, 21.38 seconds ahead of Eastport-South Manor junior Matthew Keller.
Hauppauge sophomore Ava Lingen won the 2000-meter steeplechase in 7:26.02, the third-fastest time on Long Island this season, 17.41 seconds ahead of Sayville sophomore Aislyn Beach, and ran the fastest 800, a personal-best 2:24.00. Hauppauge senior Alexandra Wetterhahn won the 100 final in 12.37, 0.61 seconds ahead of Half Hollow Hills West sophomore Abiyeal Lyte, and Half Hollow Hills West sophomore Surena Lewis won the 100 hurdles final in 16.03.
Islip sophomore Wilorda Frenel ran the fastest girls 400 in 57.80 and the fastest 200, a personal-best 24.96, ahead of Wetterhahn in her heat. Islip freshman Elaina Carelus had the fastest 400 hurdles at 1:06.62. Hauppauge senior Katherine Dituro won the 1500-meter race walk in 7:26.04, 31 seconds ahead of teammate Rowan Ashby.
In the field events, Rocky Point's Ava Almeida won the girls pole vault with a personal-best 11-02.00, the third-best mark on Long Island this season, and Half Hollow Hills West's David Collymore won the boys pole vault at 13-00.00. Westhampton Beach's Emilia Hill won the girls high jump with a personal-best 05-02.00, and Islip's Eiffel Francois won the boys high jump at 06-01.00. Amityville Memorial's Noah Robinson won the long jump at 21-09 and teammate Jayden Adebola the triple jump at 41-11.75. Islip's Shea LaGiglia won the girls shot put with a personal-best 33-7.
