Stallworth, Burke, Sainnoval and Bonhurst set marks on record

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. — May 21, 2013 — Connetquot senior John Stallworth won the Division One 110-meter hurdles at the Boys Division Championship Meet in a personal-best 14.16, the fastest time on record for the meet and the fastest on Long Island this season. Brentwood sophomore Malik Sainnoval won the Division One long jump with a personal-best 7.40m, also the best mark on record and the best on Long Island this season.

Port Jefferson sophomore James Burke won the Division Three 800 in a personal-best 1:54.69, the fastest time on record for the meet, 1.8 seconds ahead of Bayport-Blue Point senior Harrison Martin. Smithtown West junior Benjamin Bonhurst won the Division Two shot put with a personal-best 17.94m, the best mark on record and the best on Long Island this season, and also won the discus with a personal-best 51.72m.

Two Division Two champions repeated with marks on record. Riverhead senior Dan Normoyle won the pole vault at a personal-best 4.49m, and Smithtown West senior Michael McCann won the high jump at 2.03m, both the best marks on Long Island this season. Smithtown West senior Devin Mirenda won the Division Two 110-meter hurdles in a personal-best 14.18.

North Babylon senior Kris Moran won three Division Two races: the 800 in a personal-best 1:56.00, the 3200 in 9:32.48 and the steeplechase in 9:55.86. Half Hollow Hills West junior Jarried Redwood repeated in the 100 with a personal-best 10.87, and Half Hollow Hills West took the top three places in the 400, led by senior Frederic Fils Aime in a personal-best 50.38. Smithtown West junior Andrew Lapreziosa won the 200 in a personal-best 22.17, Eastport-South Manor junior Tom Meehan the 1600 in 4:27.38 and Copiague senior DJ Brown the 400-meter hurdles in a personal-best 57.55.

In Division One, Northport sophomore Mike Brannigan won the 3200 in 9:14.36, the fastest on Long Island this season, and the 1600 in 4:19.90 as Northport swept the top three places. William Floyd senior Isaiah Lawson won the 100 in a personal-best 10.79 and the 200 in a personal-best 21.93, the fastest 200 on Long Island this season. Brentwood junior Tobias Nelson won the 400-meter hurdles in a personal-best 54.76, also the fastest on Long Island this season, and Half Hollow Hills East junior Jake Burcham won the 800 in a personal-best 1:54.93. Longwood junior Corey Murphy won the shot put with a personal-best 16.17m.

In Division Three, Shoreham-Wading River junior Ryan Udvadia won the 1600 (4:25.79) and 3200 (9:29.82), and Shoreham-Wading River junior Jordan Wright won the 100 (10.99) and 200 (22.10). Bayport-Blue Point senior Jack Flood won both hurdles races in personal bests, 14.78 and 56.64, and Amityville senior Vincent Jackson won the 400 in 50.42 for the second time and the long jump with a personal-best 6.92m. Bayport-Blue Point swept the top three places in the shot put, led by junior Beau Kraft at 14.32m.
